100 Avenue and 102 Street Lanes Open to Vehicle Traffic
Posted Date: 8/14/2017
Two additional travel lanes have been re-opened this morning to accommodate vehicle traffic in the downtown area.

100 Avenue at the intersection of 101 Street has been re-opened to two lanes of traffic. Pedestrian traffic may use an east-to-west crossing on both the north and south sides of this intersection.

102 Street between 100 Avenue and 102 Avenue has been re-opened to one lane northbound and southbound.

At this intersection crews replaced underground utilities such as sanitary and water lines. The surface is currently gravel as crews plan to install storm lines at a later date.

Downtown Rehab

The lanes had been previously closed as a part of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project to ensure safety for the public and crews working in the area.

All downtown businesses remain open during construction.

Background

The Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project is a multi-phase initiative designed to create a modern, revitalized downtown through needed underground infrastructure upgrades and streetscape improvements. For more information visit cityofgp.com/ourdowntown.
