Open House for Phases 3 & 4 of Downtown Rehab Project

Residents and business owners are invited to an open house for phases 3 and 4 of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project on Wednesday, September 27.


The City of Grande Prairie, Engineering Services department and the engineering consultant, ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd., will display the detailed design drawings for the proposed rehabilitation of 100 Avenue between 98 Street and 102 Street. 


Date: Wednesday, September 27, 2017
Time: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. (drop-in format)
Location: Rotary Room, inside the Montrose Cultural Centre, located at 9839 103 Ave.

Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to discussions, engage with the proposed design and interact with project representatives. All members of the public are invited. Downtown business owners are strongly encouraged to attend and share location specific information.


Background
On April 3, 2017, City Council approved ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. (ISL) as the engineering consultant for phases 3 and 4 of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project. ISL provided the highest evaluated submission meeting City specifications.


At this time, the construction of phases 3 and 4 is dependant on approval during the fall budget deliberations.


The Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project is a multi-phase initiative designed to create a modern, revitalized downtown through underground infrastructure upgrades and streetscape improvements. For more information visit cityofgp.com/ourdowntown
