Election Webcast Features Live Results

Grande Prairie residents can watch municipal election results unfold on Monday live via their computers or smart phones.

Viewers can tune into the City of Grande Prairie's election webcast at to see retiring Councillor Helen Rice and former Councillor Dan Wong provide analysis and deliver outcomes.

Immediate Results and Analysis

"We know residents want to get immediate results and we're pleased to provide this coverage once again," says David Olinger, Manager of Intergovernmental Affairs.

"This is the fifth election we've webcast so we expect a lot of interest in this program."

Webcast Start Time

The webcast begins at 7 p.m., an hour before polls close.

"Helen and Dan will discuss previous municipal votes, emerging issues, trends and the election picture elsewhere in the region and in comparable Alberta municipalities," says Olinger. "They will also interview candidates who are elected."

Information on Web and Social Media

Election results will also be posted on as well as the City's Facebook and Twitter sites as they become available. Eastlink TV also plans to air the webcast.
