Downtown Rehabilitation Project Phases 1 and 2 Construction Complete
Posted Date: 11/30/2017
Construction on phases 1 and 2 of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project is now complete.

101 Avenue between 100 Street and 102 Street, as well as 101 Street between 100 Avenue and 103 Avenue, are now open for pedestrian traffic, vehicle traffic, and parking. Currently, parking in these areas is free, however a 2-hour time limit is to be enforced.

Snow removal from construction zone sidewalks has been the responsibility of the contractor for the duration of construction. As construction is complete, this responsibility now returns to adjacent residents and businesses.

The City of Grande Prairie would like to thank everyone for their co-operation, support and patience throughout construction on phases 1 and 2.

Periodic updates on the future of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes will be shared as the project progresses. To stay up-to-date on future phases, sign up for the e-newsletter at
