Residential Clearing Continues and Snow Removal Update
Posted Date: 2/2/2018

Residential Snow Clearing continues Monday February 5, 2018.

Crews will be in Mountview, Summit, VLA/Montrose, Hillside, Crystal Heights, Ivy Lake, and Crystal Landing on Monday.

Priority Clearing

City Crews will work through the weekend to deal with the heavy accumulation from today’s snowfall.

“The forecast is for snow from early Friday morning until Saturday afternoon with possible accumulation of over 30 cm” says Robert Carroll, Transportation Manager for the City, “This on top of the snow that has already accumulated this month will keep a 24 hour a day effort until all Priority 1 and 2 routes passable and cleared.”

Carroll says it will take at least 2 weeks to clear the windrows off Priority 2 roads with the weekend effort focused on School Zones. “Hopefully we will make good progress over the weekend but a break in the continuous snowfall will be nice”.
