Residential Snow Clearing Continues February 7
Posted Date: 2/6/2018

Residential

Residential Snow Clearing continues Wednesday February 7, 2018.

Crews will be in Avondale, College Park, Swanavon, Highland Park, Smith, Cobblestone and Riverstone on Wednesday.

It is expected to take until February 16th to clear all residential areas.

Priority Clearing

City crews continue to work around the clock the clear the roads after the weekend record snowfall.

Most of our main roads are clear but some remain passable with caution due to the compacted snow and ice.

The extreme cold temperatures that followed the snowfall has resulted in hard, icy, compacted snow. The plow trucks cannot plow this kind of snow. All clearing must be done by the graders.

City Crews continue to work on Priority One and Priority Two roads. We expect it will take all week to get these plowed into windrows and much longer to pick up all the windrows on Priority Two roads due to their size.
