City Snow Removal Crews Prepared for Winter Storm
Posted Date: 3/1/2018

City of Grande Prairie snow removal crews are prepared for a winter storm predicted to bring 15-20 centimetres of snow and high winds causing snow drifts.

In the event of snowfall, crews will re-focus efforts to keep priority one roads clear. Currently, crews continue to clear snow piles and windrows left in residential areas. Crews also are maintaining the roadways with sand and working to improve sightlines at intersections.

In addition, crews are maintaining the City’s drainage network by ensuring catch basins, drainage easements, and drainage ditches are open and clear for when the snow melts.
