Disaster Services

Disaster Services incorporates designated individuals from public and private organizations who may be called upon in the event of a local disaster or emergency.  The City of Grande Prairie has developed the following disaster services plan, and holds disaster exercises several times each year to ensure the group is prepared when a actual emergency occurs.

Disaster Services Plan

The City's Disaster Services Plan provides a basis for prompt and co-ordinated action in the event of a peacetime disaster or emergency affecting the City and the area served by mutual aid agreements.

Separate plans have been prepared by participating agencies and are stored at the Emergency Operations Centre for the information of the Director but not for general distribution.

Each of the following links refers to a section of the plan in Adobe Acrobat format.  An overall guide to the sections can be found in the Table of Contents document.

Please note that files 1.03-1.06, which contain contact information for designated individuals in the plan, has not been included in this website version.
