National Workers’ Day of Mourning

Grande Prairie Mayor Dwight Logan and Arnold Johnson, Recording Secretary for Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 787, raised a flag to half mast at the Muskoseepi Park Couplet Monday during the CUPE National Day of Mourning ceremony, held in recognition of workers killed or injured on the job. Remarks were presented by Mayor Logan, Randy Wald, President of CUPE Local 787, and Donna Kulba, Chair of Grande Prairie and Area Safe Communities. A moment of silence was observed.
