The popular CBC television show Dragon’s Den is holding open auditions in Grande Prairie on March 20, looking for the next million dollar idea.

The City of Grande Prairie and the Community Advisory Board on Homelessness (CABH) are in the process of recruiting new members and encourage all interested community members to submit applications. The role of CABH is to review and provide recommendations on the projects addressing homelessness in the City of Grande Prairie.

A survey that will be used to update the City’s Land Use Bylaw (LUB) continues until March 19.

City Council referred to the Protective Services Committee concerns from Alvin Pall, owner of an apartment building, located 10511-101 Avenue, regarding noise and disturbance issues emanating from the nearby Madhatters and the impact on residents and his business.

As a follow up to the open houses held last November, a draft Intermunicipal Plan has been prepared.  You are invited to attend an open house to provide feedback and ask questions related to the draft IDP.  We encourage you to attend one of the meetings to determine how the proposed plan will affect you.

The City has closed all of the outdoor high board skating rinks at school sites due to the mild weather.
