First Town Hall Meeting Tonight

Thursday, October 16, 2008 9:01:00 AM

The first in a series of Town Hall Meetings planned by the City of Grande Prairie is set for tonight at the Golden Age Centre.

“This meeting is for residents to tell us what is on their minds,” say Mayor Dwight Logan. “The public is invited to come out to speak to members of council and administration on any topic they are interested in. That may be ideas on how to improve the community or questions or concerns about municipal services, programs or infrastructure.

“The agenda will be set by the community.”

The session begins at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be provided.

“It is their community and we want to work with residents to make Grande Prairie an even better place to live, work and play as we look ahead to our next 50 years as a City.”

The City of Grande Prairie plans to have up to three Town Hall Meetings annually to improve communication with residents.
