City assessors evaluate properties based on a number of variables including location, lot and home size and construction quality.

The assessor will then collect and analyze the information that relates to the value of a property or a business (for example: information on sales, rental income, costs, and market conditions)

Last, they will classify and estimate property values according to the assessment legislation using valuation techniques and data.

After completing the analysis, fair values for all Grande Prairie properties are prepared with the aid of a computerized appraisal system developed in accordance with international standards.
