Educational Programs

The Grande Prairie Museum and Heritage Discovery Centre offer a variety of curriculum-based programs available throughout the school year. These programs are ideal for educators that would like to have their students explore our local history in a hand-on- environment.

Our educational program themes and activities can supplement Alberta Education Programs of Study in Social Studies, Science and Art.

Educators can use these programs as an introduction to a new unit or as a fun supplement to what is taught in class. Programs can also be adapted to suit a variety of ages. Programs are approximately 1.5 hours in length and accommodate up to 30 participants.

  • Programs take place on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • All educational programs cost $30.00 per class, per program. Grade 9 guided tours cost $15.00 per class, per tour.
