Starting Monday, April 19, callers in the Grande Prairie area can dial 311 to access information about programs and services in the City of Grande Prairie.
By dialing 311, residents will reach a customer service center staffed with trained Corporate Citizen Experience specialists who can help callers with all City-related questions.
Launching 311 is the first step toward implementing an integrated customer service system to better assist residents and visitors with an improved level of service.
The 311 system is integrated with other City technology to easily log customer inquiries and issue service requests to the appropriate department when needed. Data from the new system is being used to support decision-making and improvements at the City.
The 311 number officially launches April 19 and will operate Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Callers outside of the Grande Prairie area can still access this service by dialing 780-538-0300.
The City reminds residents to always call 911 for emergencies.
