‘A Year In The Life’ Video Launched to Capture Life in Grande Prairie

The City of Grande Prairie is proud to launch ‘A Year in the Life’ – a video that profiles amenities and events City residents have come to know and love as the City of Grande Prairie experienced rapid population and economic growth. 

‘A Year in the Life’ will be utilized for investment attraction, as well as a relocation tool for potential new residents. A second shorter video showcases the major economic indicators for Grande Prairie and will be utilized specifically for displaying at national conferences and for investment attraction strategies and campaigns.

Living in the City of Grande Prairie

Since 2000, the population of the City of Grande Prairie has grown at an annual average rate of 3.69%, the amenities and activities in the City continue to grow with it. 

The City of Grande Prairie’s population of 69,088 and regional trading area of over 280,000 individuals has led to many services and amenities typically afforded to larger cities. 

In addition to serving as a retail and service hub, the City of Grande Prairie is the epicenter of the Peace Region for art, culture, and entertainment. From the Eastlink Centre, 450,000 square foot aquatics and fitness facility; Revolution Place, a 4,500 seat concert venue; cultural hub Montrose Cultural Centre which houses one of Western Canada’s largest free art galleries; and over 600 acres of park land, local residents can experience a multi-faceted lifestyle in the City of Grande Prairie.
