What is a Shed or Garage?

A shed or garage is an accessory building that is not attached to the principal dwelling.

A Shed or Garage may require both a Development Permit and a Building Permit

Do I require a development permit?

All Accessory Buildings & Structures over 20m² (215ft²) require a Development Permit. Accessory Buildings & Structures that are less than 20m² (215ft²) do not require a Development Permit provided they comply with the Land Use Bylaw.
