The City of Grande Prairie is currently recruiting public members to join the Community Knowledge Campus (CKC) Advisory Board and help guide the vision and future of the facility.

The establishment of a CKC Advisory Committee aims to encourage community input to create growth opportunities within the three City operated facilities at the CKC and encourage balanced community engagement. It is mandated to provide a well-balanced approach in discussing topics for consideration, advice on issues, growth opportunities, sports related event awareness and bid opportunities that may include regional and provincial events and tournaments.

The City is seeking knowledgeable, qualified public members drawn from various walks of life, with diverse capabilities and expertise in business and recreation to join this board and provide strategic advice to the CKC Management and Administration.

To apply, interested applicants can contact the Council Committee Coordinator at 780-357-8747

or avanbeekveld@cityofgp.com.

Stakeholders representing sport and recreation from the various user groups that use the facility, membership holders, tenant representatives, programming representatives, and at least one City of Grande Prairie elected official will also help comprise the committee membership.

The committee is scheduled to meet regularly at quarterly intervals and uphold clearly communicated expectations of reporting through the CKC General Manager at Community Services Committee. Input would be considered in relevant Administrative Reports to Community Services Committee or Council as required.

For more information, visit the Community Knowledge Campus (CKC) Advisory Board page on the City’s website.
