The Coca-Cola Centre is currently seeking a new vendor to become the exclusive provider of the facility’s concession, lounge and catering services.
The Coca-Cola Centre is a major community hub in Grande Prairie, offering year-round twin ice arenas as well as a variety of spaces to host meetings or events for both local and visiting groups.
This facility is operated by the City of Grande Prairie with full public access to local residents and visitors as well as an operating partnership with the City's Community Knowledge Partners. It connects the already existing facilities – Eastlink Centre, Gymniks Gymnastic Club as well as sits between two high schools, St. Joseph’s Catholic High School and Charles Spencer Public High School.
The new vendor will have the opportunity to provide concession services for the daily users of the facility, as well as concession, catering and lounge services for the many annual events hosted by user groups and tenants. Average annual attendance at the facility includes 2,245 membership scans for public skating, shinny hockey, stick & puck and drop-in figure skating, 8,780 people annually in meeting attendance and 63 annual lounge event bookings.
On average the concession caters to 10 bookings per month and over 80 students per day during the lunch rush. The foot traffic at Community Knowledge Campus is an average of over 3,000 people per day, not including special events and programming.
The lounge area is approximately 2,166 sq. feet and hosts a bar area as well as a seating area with a projector, pull down screen, Kinect and several games. It seats 80 – 100 people and can turn on the sound to hear the action in both the north and south arenas.
The cost to lease this space is $885.00 monthly, based on a reduced rate of $12.00 per square foot for an 885 square foot space. The price may increase to a maximum of $15.00 per square foot throughout the duration of the lease agreement.
