Application Requirements

• Eligibility

  Applicants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years old.
  • Live, work or attend school in Grande Prairie.
  • Identify a barrier related to employment or education.
  • Have an income below the program's threshold (for a single person, $29,804, with further details available in the application.)
• Eligible Expenses

  Funding may be used for:

  • First aid, safety or industry-required training.
  • Professional certification courses.
  • Workwear or professional clothing.
  • Tools, equipment or gear required for employment.

  If applicants are unsure whether an item is eligible, they may include details in their application for review.

• Review Process

  • One application is required per individual
  • Applications are reviewed monthly based on eligibility and available funding.
  • The City may work directly with suppliers or training providers to obtain approved items.
  • Reimbursement may be considered in special circumstances.
  • The City reserves the right to cap the number of applications reviewed each month based on program interest and capacity.
