The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a voice for the youth of the City of Grande Prairie. YAC connects youth representatives with the City Council, city boards and committees, and local community agencies to engage, discuss, and collaborate on important issues concerning the City’s youth. YAC is an opportunity for youth to inspire change across a variety of issues, decisions, events, policies, projects, and more!
Grande Prairie’s YAC is open to youth aged 14 to 24. Members are high school students, college students, or young professionals, and represent a unique combination of backgrounds, interests, and experiences. YAC members are leaders who aim to create change, inspire others, and have a positive impact on the community through advocacy, awareness, representation, and policy.
