Montrose Cultural Centre (MCC) is a contemporary, 105,000 square foot, eco-friendly facility and serves as the anchor for cultural celebration in downtown Grande Prairie. MCC is home to the stunning Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, the modern Grande Prairie Public Library, and Jeffrey's Cafe, with adjoining outdoor patio space. Inside visitors find the Teresa Sargent Hall, public meeting rooms, 16 parking spaces above ground and 88 underground spaces for your convenience., access to the Mamawe Concourse and a high level of customer accessibility.

This vibrant, cultural hub fosters diverse celebrations, artistic expression, and local heritage appreciation while offering an abundance of free community resources for the residents of the City of Grande Prairie and surrounding communities.

Teresa Sargent Hall (TSH)

The naturally bright, beautiful Teresa Sargent Hall offers 5,000 square feet of indoor rental space suitable for community programming, cultural celebrations, artisan exhibitions, formal receptions, and more.  

Mamawe Concourse 

Located at the south entrance to the Montrose Cultural Centre, Mamawe concourse features a large, open space designed for year-round community activities such as outdoor programming, cultural celebrations, and public events.

Mamawe Concourse recognizes the important relationship between the City of Grande Prairie and the Indigenous People in our region. Mamawe, a Woodland Cree term meaning Gathering was chosen for this site in consultation with Traditional Elders.

In recognition of Indigenous People’s contribution, Mamawe honours this public space for everyone to gather in the Spirit of Reconciliation. Mamawe Concourse is a place to celebrate our rich and diverse cultures in the heart of the City.

Grande Prairie Public Library

The Grande Prairie Public Library is equipped with the latest technology and offers a quiet atmosphere for book lovers.  This beautiful two story facility houses a wide range of services and modern amenities.

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is one of the largest Free Admission galleries in Western Canada.  It is one of a number of programmed spaces within the Montrose Cultural Centre and shares communal spaces with the Grande Prairie Public Library and Teresa Sargent Hall. Strict adherence to climate and security controls has earned the Gallery a “Category A” designation by the Movable Cultural Properties Directorate of Canadian Heritage.
