A lot grading, development, building and all subtrade (electrical, plumbing and gas) permits are required to construct a single family dwelling.
Please note: If you are developing a secondary suite a separate set of building and sub trade permits are required.
Step 1: Apply
Complete a Residential Permit Application. This package allows you to submit one application when applying for all the required permits. There is no requirement to apply for all at one time, however to minimize wait time, we do suggest applying for all permits at once.

Detailed fee's are identified in the application package.
For quick reference; an estimated fee of $2,205.28 can be expected for a 1,200 sf home, with a developed basement.
Step 3: Construction
You may begin construction once you have received all required permits. Below is the contact information you may need for groundwork and utilities.
Each site is required to have an approved Fire Safety Plan posted on-site during construction.
Step 4: Inspections
All offered inspections are listed on the conditions issued with the permit.
