This summer keep children occupied and safe with day camps from the City of Grande Prairie.
Camp instructors design well-rounded schedules with activities to suit a variety of interests, so campers are kept active and have fun while practising physical distancing.
Due to the new Government of Alberta Day Camp Guidelines for COVID-19, we have put new procedures in place to protect the health and safety of all staff, children and families participating in the City's summer camps. One of the new procedures will be a daily symptom screening questionnaire. Any child or household family members of the child who is exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 will not be permitted to attend the camp. If a child should develop symptoms while at camp, they will be immediately removed from camp and isolated with a caregiver. At this point, parents or guardians of the symptomatic child, as well as the other children in the camp, will be notified and asked to pick-up their child(ren) immediately. The camp will close for a minimum of 72 hours. Further information on the new health and safety procedures we will be implanting for this summer's day camps will be included in the Parent Handbook and listed on our website in the coming weeks.
Camps activities may include:
- Games - indoor and outdoor
- Crafts & Learning
- And much more!
