The Canadian Music Week (CMW) Broadcast Jury has released the list of nominees for this year’s Canadian Radio Music Awards (CRMA) including a nomination of Revolution Place under the Major Facility (Under 8000) Award Category.

The Major Facility (Under 8000) Award Category recognizes amphitheatres, arenas or stadiums taking into consideration the number of acts booked and their support of Canadian talent.

"Having Revolution Place recognized as a 2018 CRMA finalist is very exciting for our team.  In 2018, we enjoyed our busiest year in over a decade.  The volume and diversity of events we've been able to attract to Grande Prairie is due to the confidence the industry has in our market's thirst for live entertainment,” says Scott Clark, General Manager.

Revolution Place has sold 45,000 concert tickets since the beginning of 2018 including for such highlights as Black Label Society, Johnny Reid and Larry the Cable Guy. Upcoming shows for 2019 so far include Steel Panther, the Rock Downtown free outdoor concert featuring Pop Evil and Current Swell, and Dallas Smith and Dean Brody.

The winners of the CRMAs are voted on by industry professionals including on-air staff, program directors and music directors. Awards are announced on Thursday, May 9 in Toronto.
