Pickleball enthusiasts are now able to enjoy the sport at the Dave Barr Community Centre.

From Monday to Friday, the community centre is offering a drop-in adult pickleball time from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Four courts are available during this time.

“We know there is a huge and enthusiastic pickleball community in Grande Prairie so we are very excited to now offer this drop in program at our facility. It goes hand-in-hand with our facility’s goal to promote physical activity and offer  a variety of services in our community centre,” says Cate Amaro, Facility Supervisor of Dave Barr Community Centre.

The program runs until August 23. Any changes in schedule or cancellations will be posted on the Dave Barr Community Centre Facebook page.

The drop-in fee is $5/person, and punch passes are available.

Pickleball is a paddle sport with a ball similar to a wiffle-type ball, played in groups of two to four.
