Aquatera Outdoor Pool Schedule Now Available with Season Opener at Here Comes Summer Event

The Aquatera Outdoor Pool schedule is now available as the facility opens for the season on Saturday, June 3 with the new Here Comes Summer event, in partnership with Aquatera Utilities Inc.

The outdoor pool swimming schedule in June includes public swim on Mondays to Fridays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Public swimming hours expand for the rest of the summer starting in July at 12 p.m. instead of 3 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. instead of 12 p.m. on weekends.

“The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is a place of gathering, fun and activity in our community,” said Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “We’re excited to welcome visitors back to this hallmark facility that’s helped families make memories for generations and enjoy another summer of splashing fun and outdoor recreation for the whole family.”

Here Comes Summer Event

Here Comes Summer is a new event taking place at Muskoseepi Park on June 3, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a free community barbecue, spray park season opening, outdoor games, roller skating demonstrations at the tennis courts, S3 Skate Day+ at the skate park and live acoustic entertainment.

The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 for the Here Comes Summer event in the following two or three-hour time slots for public swimming:

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The outdoor pool will be cleared after each time slot to ensure more people can be accommodated throughout the day.
